the "Thick As A Brick" tour

... Now, that was a show... the band was touring to promote the new album release... before the show, the roadies were bustling around the stage getting everything ready to go... checking this, checking that... adjusting mics, check 1, 2, 3, ... etc... they were all dressed in trench coats and hats...well dressed crew... the house lights were up in the coliseum (in Seattle)... then, without warning, a number of the people took their coats and hats off, picked up their instruments, and there was Tull... the house lights came down and the show began... the first song was the entire album, beginning to end... ahhh, a great concert by a great band... I remember it as if it was last night....

A side note; many of the bands since in Seattle have paid homage to the rhythm section of Tull... One of the best in Rock & Roll.

    I saw that one myself.

They had the 6 O Clock News right in the middle of TAAB.

There's a link on the Tull site to blow by blow pictures and descriptions of the whole concert.

I was in a mood one night to venture off into unkown horizons. Yes a few of us ventured off to Buffalo one night to catch a gig. It was my favourite band and plus. We journeyed into the colo siem. With strong scrutiny from the force of goodness. To a seat on a landing in the mist of air. I felt like I was in mid air in the Buffalo thingy.(Steep steps). I was stoned, mushrooms I remeber.; The Senario happened, the roadies became the band. It was creative, in order to simply flow into the show. and what a show. Thick as a Brick with Andersons Rock Ballet on Stage, conducting the band. Messermizing at the least. The crowd was totally quite. Taken in by Merlin. The musical of the century with a true virutaso at the helm. Magnetic. The crowd roared for THREE Encores. And they hit it for the crowd. It was a night and a night I will never forget. At one point in the concert, a golden light shown upon Anderson playing the flute, and it was a total picture. Full of the intensity of the music throught mood and expression. A different plane of existence happened at that time. Elfland. Again I was stone on Mushrooms. And I don't care.
